How many public charging points are accessible through the Ford Power Promise?
The Ford Power Promise includes Ford’s BlueOval™ Charge Network (BOCN), which provides access to over 800,000 charging points across Europe, including 36,000 in the UK.
If you want to explore charge points in a particular location you can do so using the SYNC screen in your vehicle, the FordPass™ App, or with the Charge Point Locator tool on our website (you can also find simulation tools for route planning and charging time on the connected pages).
The incorporation of BOCN into Ford EVs, and the FordPass app, provides seamless payment at charge stations with Plug&Charge, RFID card and in-app capability.
See the Public charging page for more information.
What is the Ford BlueOval™ Charge Network?
The Ford BlueOval™ Charge Network is an amalgamation of multiple charging networks (or Charge Point Operators - CPOs) into a single ‘network’ that provides convenient access to over 800,000 charging points in Europe including 36,000 in the UK, including high-speed chargers.
How much does it cost and how do I join BlueOval™ Charge Network?
Please note that you will be required to pay for the charge added to your vehicle, but no additional sign-up cost is required to unlock the convenient features of BOCN.

How does the FordPass App assist with charging?
FordPass is required to activate your complimentary BOCN subscription – you can find the straightforward steps to activate here: BlueOval Sign-up
With BOCN activation, FordPass™ app enables effortless payment and also shows charge point location, live availability and pricing. It also allows you to remotely manage and monitor a charge event, freeing you up to continue with your activity or rest, whilst your vehicle charges. (You can even get reassurance that you plugged your car in correctly to charge overnight from the comfort of your bed.)
FordPass provides additional tools such as vehicle locator (so you can easily find your car in a busy carpark), lock/unlock (in case you can’t remember whether you locked it), and cabin conditioning (no more cold cabins on a winter morning or excessive heat in the sun) – just press a single button in the app to activate.
There are many more features even beyond this, and many of them also work with a petrol, diesel or PHEV Ford, so why not try on your current car first? Just download FordPass, to explore and add your vehicle.
