Where can I charge my electric vehicle?

You can find public charging stations for your electric vehicle (EV) by using the FordPass^®* App or your SYNC^®** system in your vehicle.

Note: This feature is currently unavailable on the 2024 Electric Explorer and Capri.

Locating an EV Charger

To locate your EV chargers, confirm your version of FordPass, and select from the drop-down options below for more steps.

FordPass 5.X Experience

To locate an EV charger using the all-new version 5 of FordPass:

Open FordPass and tap Energy.
Select Public Charging from the Charge section. A list of nearby chargers will display. By default, chargers are filtered by:
- Available Now
- Ultra Fast Only
Tap the Filters button for more filter options.

You will not be able to view nearby chargers if you have deactivated:

FordPass 4.X Experience

To locate an EV charger using version 4 of the FordPass App:

Select View Chargers on the home screen. A list of nearby chargers will display.
Select your preferred filter options:
- Charge Speed: Regular (AC up to 22 kW), Fast (DC up to 120 kW), Ultra Fast (DC 120+ kW)
- Availability
- Ford Network (In-Network)
- Plug & Charge (P&C)
Select Done to apply filters.

The Public Charging App

To locate an EV charger using your vehicle's touchscreen, use the Public Charging App:

Tap the Home icon.
Select the Public Charging app. A list of nearby chargers will display.
Tap the Filter icon for more filter options.
