How do I Buy Data Once my Complimentary Wi-Fi Hotspot Trial has Expired?

To keep using the Wi-Fi Hotspot* after your free trial expires, you need to buy additional data bundles. Simply log into our partner’s website by clicking on 'Vehicle Hotspot' in the FordPass app, or while you are inside the vehicle use your mobile data or a different Wi-Fi connection to purchase a new data bundle. 

Once logged in to the carrier portal, go to 'My plan and usage', then select the data bundle you would like to purchase and your preferred payment method. Please be aware that the purchased data bundle may not be activated immediately.

When you purchase data for your Wi-Fi Hotspot you are buying data bundles, and not an ongoing subscription. The bundles expire when your data runs out, or when they reach their time limit. If you sell your car while you have an active bundle you can transfer the remaining data to another Ford vehicle. You are unable to transfer data to a non-Ford vehicle.


*Wi-Fi hotspot (up to 4G LTE) includes a complimentary wireless data trial for a limited time only that begins at time of activation. Afterwards, data bundles can be purchased from Vodafone or a Vodafone partner. Please refer to their website for details of their data packages. To take advantage of the built-in Wi-Fi hotspot capability, Ford vehicles must come with the appropriate hardware, and a data plan is required. Data coverage and service is not available everywhere and terms of your data plan, including applicable message and data rates, may apply.
