Contact UsHow do I use the Horn and Lights feature in FordPass®*?
You can activate the lights and horn for five seconds, which is useful when searching for your vehicle in a parking garage. Use the steps below for more details.
Horn and Lights Requirements
To access this feature, ensure the following requirements are met:
- You have an eligible vehicle.
- You have a vehicle added to the FordPass App.
- Your vehicle is equipped with the FordPass® Connect modem.
- Your FordPass Connect modem is activated.
Activating the Horn and Lights Feature
Select the dropdown with your FordPass App experience below for more details on how to engage the horn and lights feature.
FordPass App 5.X Experience
To activate the horn and lights in 5.X:
- Log in to the FordPass App.
- Go to the Vehicle screen.
- Select Vehicle Location.
- Tap the Horn and Light button.
- Read and acknowledge the Horn and Lights Use pop-up message by selecting I understand.
Your vehicle's horn and lights will be on for five seconds and then shut off.
FordPass App 4.X Experience
To activate the horn and lights in 4.X:
- Log in to the FordPass App.
- Go to the Home screen.
- Locate your remote commands bar.
- Press and hold the Horn icon for five seconds.
- Select one of the following on the prompt:
- Confirm to complete the action.

Cancel to void the action.
Note: If you select Confirm, the success banner should appear.
The lights and horns will be active for five seconds.
Note: For Mustang Mach-E vehicles, the Horn and Lights feature was updated to include the following:
- Command access when within Bluetooth range.
- Command access when outside of Bluetooth range.
- Command access when Phone As A Key has not been set up.
