Why does my vehicle show Transport Mode when using FordPass®*?
During shipment from the factory, a vehicle is put in a partially activate state called Transport Mode. While in this state, the vehicle's FordPass® Connect** modem cannot be activated.
If your vehicle is showing under Transport Mode, use the steps below complete your vehicle activation:
- Access your vehicle.
- Turn your vehicle On and leave it in Park.
- On your in-vehicle SYNC® screen, tap Settings.
- Select FordPass Connect.
- Tap Connectivity Settings.
- Turn On the slider for Send vehicle data.
- Accept the consent prompt.
- Ensure vehicle data sharing is enabled.
- Perform an ignition cycle.
- In the FordPass App, navigate to the Home landing screen.
- Select Activate Vehicle.
- Accept the prompt that appears on your in-vehicle SYNC screen.
