When Should the Gearbox Oil be Changed?

Gearbox oil (or transmission fluid) is used to lubricate the components of a vehicles' transmission for optimum performance. In vehicles with automatic transmissions, this fluid also acts as a coolant.

Ford recommends going to your local dealership to have transmission fluid checked. 

It is recommended the automatic/Manual transmission fluid is changed as per service recommendations for your specific vehicle.
