What Happens Following the Death of a Ford Credit Account Holder?
We offer our deepest condolences for your loss and at this difficult time. We appreciate this is a distressing experience, but we understand you may need to take care of the financial matters. We hope we can make this process as easy as possible.
What you Need to do Next
We need a copy of the account holders’ death certificate; you can email this to our dedicated bereavement team at bsprole@ford.com. If you would prefer to post it, our contact details are below. Please include the executor or next of kins details, including name, address, phone number and relationship to the account holder.
What are Your Options
There are three options for you to consider:
- Keep the vehicle: Pay off the agreement
- Return the vehicle: Covered by our Peace of Mind period1
- Take over the agreement: An executor can apply to continue the agreement. (Finance subject to status. Does not include non-regulated accounts2)
