What is the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure?

Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) is a test for measuring fuel economy and Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) emissions for all new vehicles.

The aim of WLTP is to provide CO₂ emissions and fuel economy data which is closer to real world figures than the previous test (NEDC).

WLTP testing was introduced on new vehicle models from September 2017.
