How do I activate my trial subscription or renew my plan?
You can activate your complimentary trial or renew your subscription plan through your online Ford account or within the FordPass®* App.
Subscription Requirements
- An activated Ford or FordPass account.
- The FordPass App downloaded on your 4G or 5G mobile device.
- An eligible vehicle added to your FordPass App garage.
- An activated modem.
Trial Activation or Plan Renewal Instructions
The steps below will assist you with activation or renewal based on your preferred method.
Using the FordPass App
To activate or renew your subscription using FordPass:
- Log in to the FordPass App.
- Navigate to the Account screen.
- Tap the Subscriptions tile.
- Select the subscription.
- Tap one of the following:
- Activate Trial - if you are activating a complimentary trial.
- Renew - if you are renewing your plan.
- Swipe to the bottom of the webpage after reading all the information and press Next.
Note: You will be prompted to enter a Primary Address if you have not done so. Enter all the requested details and click Save.
- Select a payment method.
Note: If you do not have a payment method on file or want to add a new one, tap Add Card and enter the details, then tap Save. You can set this as the default payment method by clicking the checkbox.
- Review the order or trial activation.
- Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions by tapping the checkboxes.
- Tap Confirm Activation.
- Select Got it, thanks! on the order confirmation pop-up window.
Using the Ford Subscription Site
To activate or renew your subscription using the Ford Subscription Site:
- Log in to your online Ford account.
- Click one of the following:
- Activate Complimentary Subscription - if you are activating a complimentary trial.
- Renew - if you are renewing your plan.
Note: The selection available is based on which Connected Services, if any, are available at the time of sign up.
- Click Next.
- Scroll to the bottom of the webpage after reading all the information.
- Click Next.
Note: If you have not entered a Primary Address on your Ford account, you will be prompted to do so.
- Review your order and click the information icon to view more details of the plan chosen.
- Ensure your Payment Information is correct.
Note: If you do not have a payment method on file or want to add a new one, click Add Card and enter the details of the new payment method, then click Save. You can set this as the default payment method by clicking the checkbox.
- Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions by selecting he checkbox.
- Click Confirm Activation.
- Select Got it, thanks! on the order confirmation pop-up window.
