How do I manage Remote Climate Controls in the FordPass App?

You can adjust your climate controls using the remote command menu in the FordPass^®* App. Use the steps below for more details. 

Notes: 

• This feature is only available in the FordPass App 5.X experience. 
• This feature is currently unavailable on the 2024 Electric Explorer and Capri.

FordPass Climate Control Requirements

To use Climate Controls with FordPass, you must:

• Have an active FordPass account.

• Have a vehicle capable of the remote climate control feature added to FordPass.

  Note: This is currently available on Battery Electric Vehicles. 

• Activate your FordPass^® Connect** modem to access remote controls. 

Editing Remote Climate Controls in FordPass

To manage your climate controls in FordPass:

1. Open the FordPass App. 
2. Go to the Vehicle screen.

3. Tap the Fan icon to remote start your vehicle. 

   Note: Your vehicle preconditioning should begin. 

4. Tap the Climate Settings box. 
5. Adjust the settings, as needed, for the following:
   • Target cabin temperature
   • Defroster
   • Heated steering wheel
   • Seats

The last saved selections will remain as the default climate setting.
