Why is my vehicle location not working in the FordPass®* App?

If your vehicle's location is not updating, the location is not showing, or the incorrect address is displaying, use the troubleshooting steps below.

Troubleshooting Vehicle Location Issues

Select one of the options below for more details. 

Vehicle Location is Not Updating 

If your vehicle's location is not updating:

  1. Open the FordPass App.
  2. Navigate to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Swipe down from the top of the page to force a refresh of your vehicle location. 

FordPass should display an "Updated Just Now" message above your vehicle location.

Note: If your screen does not show the "Updated Just Now" message, this is a symptom of a larger issue, such as a non-communicating modem. 

Unable to Locate Your Vehicle

If you are unable to locate your vehicle, ensure your settings are set up correctly:

  • Location Settings: Allow the FordPass App access in your device's location settings.
  • Connectivity Settings: Enable Vehicle Location in your vehicle's Connectivity Settings menu. 

Incorrect Location Showing 

If your vehicle's location is incorrect, please contact a Guide for additional assistance. 

If the troubleshooting steps are unsuccessful or your modem is non-communicating, contact a Guide using the Account > Help options in FordPass.
