You can request vehicle authorisation access by selecting to activate your vehicle, then following the remaining prompts in FordPass. Use the steps below for more details.
Request Vehicle Access
Select the dropdown with your FordPass App experience below for more details on how to request vehicle access.
FordPass App 5.X Experience
To request shared access:
- Open the FordPass App.
- Select Connect to Vehicle.

Tap Request shared access if you will be an additional user.
Notes:
- A message will be sent to all authorised drivers.
- If you want to connect to a vehicle and remove all current users, you can perform a reset.
You can check the status of your request by clicking Check My Access Request.
FordPass App 4.X Experience
To request authorisation access:
- Open the FordPass App.
- Select Activate Vehicle.

Tap Request Authorisation if you will be an additional command user.
Note: A message will be sent to all current activated users and they will receive a message in their account of your request.
Once approved, you will have command access.
Note: If you want to activate a vehicle and remove all existing activated users, you can perform a Master Reset.
