RENOWNED VERSATILITY

The Ford Transit Chassis Cab is renowned for its versatility and flexibility. Available in five optional Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) variants, it is the ideal platform for a wide range of bespoke conversions. The new 5-Tonne model increases maximum payload capacity to 2,983 kgTransit V363 Chassis - Payload L2 H1 500, ideal for heavy conversions and making short work of any job.

CHASSIS OPTIONS

The Transit Chassis is a solid base for a range of conversions, available in five Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) variants, from 3,500 kg to 5,000 kg. From the L2 (medium wheelbase) to the L5 (extra-long wheelbase), plus an option for single or dual rear wheels. There’s a wheelbase to suit your needs.

TRANSIT SKELETAL CHASSIS

Built on a unique full ladder frame that’s both strong and light, the Skeletal chassis delivers strength and efficiency. With its reduced rail height, it's ideal for conversions that require lower floors. The Skeletal comes in four wheelbase options with two rear axle lengths with up to 3,500 kg GVM.

Transit Chassis Cab is designed and built for hard work. Its robust and rigid chassis provides an excellent foundation for fitting specialist bodies.  For the convenience of operators who want a quick and simple solution, our factory-built Transit floats are supplied ready to work.

ROOM FOR THE CREW

Enough room for crew and cargo. Wide-opening doors provide easy access to the spacious interior. And with second row seating for four additional passengers, Transit Chassis Double Cab carries up to seven people.

NEED TO TOW ADDITIONAL LOADS?

If your work requires a tow bar, you can specify one as a factory-fitted option. Or you can order one later as an accessory and have it fitted professionally through your Ford Dealer, in both instances, the Trailer Sway Assist feature will be activated.

RANGE OF ENGINES

Featuring a range of advanced 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines, the Transit is more powerful and more efficient than ever. With two powertrains available, offering up to 165PS, you’re guaranteed to find the one that meets your specific needs. The Transit is also available with an HDT (Heavy Duty Truck) engine for customers operating heavier vehicles or ideal for heavier conversion.

NEW AUTO TRANSMISSION

An upgraded 8-speed automatic transmission has been created to replace the previous 6-speed. With a console-mounted rotary gear shifter and steering wheel-mounted paddles.

ACCELERATION CONTROL

Designed to control the rate of acceleration according to the size and weight of your vehicle’s load. This can help to lower fuel consumption by up to 15%, depending on your driving style. It can also reduce the amount of wear and tear on the engine, brakes, tyres, and other components.
